Traditional professional development often stays in the realm of theory.
Our approach is different.
At Painted Horse, participants step out of the office and into a calm, natural environment where learning becomes immediate, visible, and deeply impactful. Through guided interactions with horses, individuals gain powerful insight into how they communicate, lead, respond to pressure, and work with others.
Horses respond honestly and without judgement, offering real-time feedback that builds awareness, clarity, and confidence in a way that’s difficult to achieve in a classroom setting.
Our sessions are designed for:
Teams wanting to improve communication and collaboration
Emerging and established leaders
Workplaces navigating change or growth
Organisations investing in staff development and wellbeing
Each session is delivered in a small-group format (maximum 4 participants) to ensure a personalised, high-impact experience.
Sessions run for approximately 2 hours and include:
Guided observation
Practical, hands-on activities with horses
Facilitated reflection and group discussion
Light catering and debrief time
No prior horse experience is required.
Building trust, clarity, and cohesion in the workplace
This session explores how individuals communicate, contribute, and collaborate within a team environment. Participants gain insight into non-verbal communication, trust-building, and the impact of their actions on group dynamics.
Developing confident, effective leaders through real-time feedback
Designed for supervisors and emerging leaders, this session focuses on leadership presence, clarity, and the ability to guide others effectively. Participants experience firsthand how intention, consistency, and trust influence outcomes.
Strengthening self-awareness and interpersonal effectiveness
This session supports participants to recognise and regulate their emotional responses, improving how they engage with others. Horses provide immediate feedback, helping individuals understand the impact of their internal state on those around them.
Building adaptability, problem-solving, and confidence under pressure
Participants are guided through challenges that require flexibility, patience, and persistence. This session develops the ability to remain grounded, adapt strategies, and work through obstacles effectively.
Horses are highly attuned to human behaviour and emotion.
They respond not to words, but to presence, energy, and intention, making them powerful partners in experiential learning. This creates an environment where participants gain honest, immediate feedback on how they show up, communicate, and lead.
The result is learning that is not only understood—but felt and remembered.
