Painted Horse is a space for reflection, connection, and remembering who you truly are. Rooted in respect for the land, the wisdom of horses, and the quiet power of presence, we offer experiential learning that meets you where you are and gently invites you forward.
Here you’re not asked to perform, fix, or prove anything. Instead, you’re offered time, space, and partnership with the horses and your practitioner, to explore your own truth and reconnect with your essence.
This is a place for adults who are ready for change. Whether you’re navigating stress, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or seeking a deeper relationship with yourself, our work together is grounded, safe, and deeply respectful of your pace.
Painted Horse was born from lived experience of trauma, healing, and finding meaning in the spaces between. It’s named in honour of a spotted Appaloosa who came into my life after surviving profound mistreatment. Wombat, aka Hero, arrived with complex trauma, but also deep wisdom. Our journey together changed me and deepened everything that I offer through this work.
The name Painted Horse also reflects a quiet nod to ancestral roots, a thread that connects me to Indigenous South American lineage and to traditions that honour animals as sacred partners in healing and growth.
The work is personal, professional, and deeply purposeful. It’s about creating the kind of space I needed when I was struggling, one that felt safe, empowering and grounded in real, relational presence.
I’m a certified Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner with training in trauma-informed care, nervous system regulation, and somatic approaches to wellbeing. I’m also a full-time working single mum, someone who knows what it’s like to carry a lot, to strive for change, and to long for something more meaningful and aligned.
My background includes years of navigating personal healing, professional growth, and the courage to start again. I bring not only training but lived experience, and a deep respect for the unique worth of all people and horses who work with me.
At Painted Horse, you’ll be met without judgement. I hold a space that is warm, respectful, and focussed on your empowerment- not by giving answers, but by helping you uncover your own inner wisdom.
At Painted Horse, everything we do is guided by a set of values we live by:
This is a space where healing doesn’t have to look like talking and growth doesn’t have to look like striving. It can look like silence, breath, a shared moment with a horse or the herd….and the slow remembering of who you are.
We specialise in working with adults who are seeking personal growth, clarity or change- whether you’re building emotional resilience, improving communication, deepening relationships, or reconnecting with your confidence and inner knowing.
Our clients come from all walks of life and often arrive during times of transition, uncertainty, or overwhelm. You may be carrying stress, questioning your direction, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others.
At Painted Horse, you’ll find support that is psychologically informed, trauma-aware, and grounded in the real world. This is not about fixing, it’s about helping you reconnect with your essence, your own inner wisdom, your nervous system, and your capacity for change.
